How it works

How does MyShopGuard stop staff from stealing?

You tell the app what stock enters your shop, and every sale is recorded. The app always knows what should remain on your shelf and how much money you should have. When you count, anything missing shows up as a Problem with the money it cost you. Staff cannot hide it by skipping the app, because the count still exposes the gap.

What if my staff refuse to use the app?

The system still works. As long as you record what enters the shop and do the counts, an unrecorded sale shows up as missing stock at your next count.

How long does a stock count take?

A quick check is three items, which takes about two minutes. The app picks the items for you, so nobody can predict which ones you will check. You can also count everything when you want to.

Does it check my money too?

Yes. Count the cash in your box and the app compares it with the sales that were recorded since your last check. If money is missing, it says how much.

Can I sell on credit?

Yes. Mark a sale as owing and save the customer's name. The Money Owed screen groups every debt by customer, with tap-to-call, and you decide when a debt is cleared.

Using it day to day

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Sales and counts save on the phone when there is no network and send themselves when network returns. Nothing is lost.

Do I need to buy any equipment?

No. MyShopGuard runs in the browser on any phone or tablet, and you can add it to your home screen like an app. No barcode scanner, no printer, no POS machine.

Can my staff see my money and reports?

No. Staff log in with their own phone number and PIN, and they can only record sales. Your dashboard, profit, problems and money reports are yours alone. Staff cannot add stock, change prices, count stock, or see any report.

Can I run more than one shop?

Yes. Each shop keeps its own stock, staff and records, and you switch between them in Settings. Each shop needs its own plan.

Which currency does it use?

Naira by default, and you can change it in Settings. Ghanaian cedi, Kenyan shilling, South African rand, US dollar, euro, pound and several others are supported.

Paying for it

How much does it cost?

Your first shop is free for 3 days with no payment needed. After that, Standard is NGN 1,900 per month and Pro is NGN 2,400 per month. Pro adds snapping supplier invoices to fill in your stock automatically.

How does payment work?

Payments are handled by Paystack. Your plan renews by itself every month, and you can stop it any time from the My Plan screen. We never see or store your card details.

What happens if my card fails?

Paystack tries again, and your shop keeps working until the period you already paid for runs out. You will see a note in the app asking you to check your card.

What happens when I stop paying?

Your data is never deleted. The app locks until you subscribe again, and everything is exactly where you left it.

Do you take a cut of my sales?

No. Customers pay you directly, however you already accept money. The app records sales, it does not process them, so nothing of yours passes through us.
